Be My Valentine

I {heart} this time of year with all the wonderful reds and pinks everywhere. I so enjoy making Valentines projects whether it is a simple card, Love Book/Album or cute gift tags. We have the ideal ribbons and pins in stock for your upcoming projects.

Who could not use a heart or two on their cards and layouts, we have packs of 5 {heart} pins in red, white, gold and pink.

We are now stocking this gorgeous Berisford Mystery Satin / Sheer ribbon in red, pale pink, hot pink and orchid white which would look wonderful tied into a big bow.

A few customers have kindly sent in photos of their work using our ribbons which we have placed under the Gallery on the website. I would love to add to the Gallery so if you have photos you would like to share, please email them to us at mail@theribbonreel.co.uk.

Blog Challenges

Is it just me or is anyone else struggling to get back in to the swing of things since the Christmas holidays ended?

I need to get a bit more motivated, especially as there are some gorgeous new ribbons, pearls and rhinestones in the store and I haven't played with any of it yet.

Perhaps a couple of blog challenges would get me crafting. The Shabby Team Room has a sketch challenge this week I might just join in.

I would love to hear what blog challenges you follow, there are so many out there!

I recently ordered some new stock which arrived before Christmas and I am only just updating the store with it.

There are some gorgeous new colours of Divine Twine bakers twine,
including brown sugar and purple plum

Twill ribbon {both plain and stripe} in various colours

7mm Silk Ribbons in gorgeous soft vintage colours

Decorative pins as well as rhinestones and pearls.

Most items have now been listed in the store and I aim to have everything updated by tomorrow (depending on the light for some good photos).

Happy New Year and thank you for popping over to the new blog!

the ribbon reel was set up in early August 2010 by myself, Keilly Mulvihill, and has been trading since September 2010. It took a bit of hard work to get things going but I did it! The shop is still growing and new stock regularly being added. If you cannot see a particular ribbon in stock, please let me know, as I may be in the process of updating the shop.

the ribbon reel recently sponsored a prize giveaway on Kirsty Wiseman's blog before Christmas which received a great response. We have agreed to sponsor a few other weekly blogs this year as well as organising our own challenges and prize giveaways - watch this blog for further info.

I hope that you will follow my creative journey and would love for you to share yours. I'm really looking forward to this year and what it will hold.
